It has a small town feel close to a college town. It is close to Harrisonburg and shopping, yet you are able to enjoy the mountains and avoid lots of people. Most of the residents know each other and it is a tight knit community. The restaurants are locally owned and buying locally is encouraged. There is one elementary and one high school located in this town.

This is a quaint little town, full of life and beauty. We are very near to hiking and outdoor activities that can be done in the summer and winter. There is a skating rink in Bridgewater, many lovely restaurants, fireworks for all the major holidays, and lots of wonderful people. The housing price here is fantastic compared to Harrisonburg. The school system is good and we are close enough to Harrisonburg to get the "big city" feel.
Absolutely love Bridgewater! One of the safest friendliest places I've ever lived in! Love the college and the country atmosphere! Highly recommend living here!
