I've lived in Branson most of my adult life. Branson has a small-town feel, and for a town that hosts thousands of visitors each year, still is a very close-knit community. Our schools are provide our children with a tremendous education, and our job market provides a variety of employment opportunities. Because our town is tourist-based, many of our jobs are seasonal, but the off-season has shortened over the years, and many Branson businesses are now open year-round or are only closed for a short amount of time each winter. Entertainment opportunities are plentiful, with most shows and attractions offering tremendous discounts for local residents and employees. Dining options are excellent, as well. With our beautiful lakes, and Ozark mountains, there's not a prettier place in Missouri to reside!

It took awhile for us to settle into a good school with no bullying, as our son has Aspergers. Small communities around Branson were not successful with keeping the bullying down to a minimum, but when we got to Branson, it was amazing. There was love and acceptance from the children. Next, graduating with good grades can give them an opportunity to enroll in Ozark Community College. This college is a four year accredited college that when graduating, they have NO DEBT! Lots to do since this is a tourist area, as well. There is so much to for teens and young adults that they don't get bored. Churches have amazing talent in their music departments as well. Add local appreciating discounts to all activities and you have a great place to live and raise families, at a low cost!
Branson is a good place to escape to if you're looking for a family friendly environment, while still being connected. With the many options on entertainment, lodging, dining, and shopping Branson is an amazing vacation spot! The people in this town are very friendly and love to help when they can. This is a very tight knit community, and if you are thinking about moving in, you will be accepted right away.
