I lived in Bradenton for about 9 years so far. There is East Bradenton and West Bradenton. East Bradenton is less crowded, quiet and cleaner. Whereas West Bradenton is more crowded, busier (more businesses equals more people) and most of the areas are dirty (prostitution activity on 14th street-US 41) In comparison to Sarasota, Bradenton has less traffic, it's quieter, and people are more friendly than in Sarasota. However, if you are looking for plenty of entertainment and restaurants than you better off in Sarasota; it's very limited in Bradenton. The major problem in Bradenton is that it is known to have the highest rate of Heroin overdoses, so be careful. Overall, Bradenton is not a bad place to live, it depends on where you live; #1 rule of real estate...location, location, location!
Review Bradenton
The friendly environment is amazing, everywhere you go you will meet genuine people. The public schools are amazing. Each of the teachers I had was invested into their students and wanted to succeed and continue their education. I have meet life long friends here, and have been friends with them for 20+ years. There is not a big nightlife, which is great for those with young families. It is a quiet city with beautiful beaches! One thing I would change is the construction going on because traffic gets a little crazier.
