Beautiful cozy beach town on Florida’s west coast. Bradenton is in the best location. It's only an hour from Tampa Airport, about a half hour from St. Pete - which is a cool, fun downtown and about 15 minutes away from Sarasota, which is another nice area. And you can't beat our beaches! Bradenton/Anna Maria Island beaches are one of the most beautiful and the best part is that it keeps its "old FL" charm with no high rises. I absolutely love it.
The problem is that the city is a dump; it is an eye soar, for most of the city. It obviously has it's really nice areas and beautiful neighborhoods, but driving down the main roads (Cortez, Rt. 70, Rt 301, etc.) its an eye sore. It's such a shame because with its location, it has amazing potential.

Well Bradenton is my home town, I was born and raised in Bradenton Florida I have never had any major issues with it. Where I live there are many stores to go to it’s very much safe near where I live. But sometimes specifically where I live isn’t that safe due to some situations that happened in the past. There are great schools in Bradenton and give you a lot of opportunities like early college which I am apart of! The beach is very nice too especially during sun rise or sun set. Overall my experience in Bradenton has been very great!
Bradenton is a very laid back, welcoming town, where you can visit Anna Maria Island for some fun at the beach and a day in the sun with some delicious local restaurants; or, you can hang out in town and visit some of the local museums and spend the day at G.T. Bray park and take your pup with you because it is the best dog park I have been too in Florida!
