I have lived in Boxford for almost all my life and it is simply beautiful. Growing up in Cole School and Spofford Pond School the staff were always willing to help you if you had any difficulties whatsoever. If you want to enjoy a nice scenic hike, you can go to the Boxford State Forest where you'll see a wide array of wildlife. We also have many vernal pools which make a great living space for frogs and other animals. Downtown Boxford you will see the 'Boxford Community Store' where they sell candy, pizza, and sandwiches. Attached to that store is 'Institution for Savings', a bank that many people love from the town.
Lives her for maybe 6 years it’s been pretty good. The schools are nice, it’s an average well of town in Massachusetts, nothing special just a quiet small suburban town.
If you want to be completely isolated then this is the place for you. There is zero community and zero diversity.
The town —1which is supposed to be a good place to raise children—- voted down a new library not once but twice. The schools put no effort into sports and therefore get slaughtered by ALL neighboring towns -even the ones with less money for education and ones who are less taxed. Advice - move to topsfield or Middleton or even out of state to avoid this town. PS it’s woodsy Which means mosquitos and ticks are a major threat. It’s a farce that this is a family friendly town...
