Bowdoinham is honestly in the perfect location. About halfway between Portland, Augusta and Lewiston/Auburn, it is really easy to commute to larger towns from Bowdoinham, while still being able to enjoy the benefits of a rural town. I have found that there is a strong sense of community that revolves around the community school and I don't think I could have asked for a better location to grow up.
Mostly for people growing organic foods and artists. Tries to offer things for children but overall school system is poorly run and mismanaged. Only good thing is easy to hop on the highway.
A quaint little town right by a river that leads into a bay. Very private and quiet, even in the main part of town. The elementary school is great and the teachers are so friendly.
