Borrego is a pretty nice little town, but with some drawbacks like any other place. The good things about borrego is the people are pretty nice for the most part and it’s a peaceful quiet place with a famous night sky. When I first came here I was homeless and unemployed but it wasn’t more than a few months before I had a job and a place to live. The downside about borrego is that it is so far away from anywhere else. There isn’t much here, the grocery stores don’t have much to choose from, and there are no chains here. The grocery prices are higher than other places and so is gasoline. But overall, I must say it is pleasant to live here and I like this town very much.

I love how intimate and caring my hometown of Borrego is. Although there may not be many opportuinties while in High School, the opportunities once you leave are endless. This community supports you in the decisions you choose to make with your life. I do not believe you can find such loving and caring people anywhere else. Fun is only a drive away.
I have lived here for years 15 +, if you're looking forward to the desert. Borrego Springs has a first person point of view at desert. In the months of May - august the temperature rises up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit months of September - April is when it has cool weather.
