This area is extremely family friendly. Crime hardly ever happens around here, and the local schools produce great students. The town is kept clean by both homeowners and the local government. Businesses in town are somewhat expensive but do bring in money and tourism to the town. The historical feel is prevalent both in architecture and artwork throughout the town!
Review Boonsboro
Nice small town with nice people. Recommend it for young or old. The schools are very good. Blue ribbon. Nice downtown area for walking or shopping. Located very close to Antietam Battlefield. Also very close to the Appalachian trail. Short drive to Hagerstown or Frederick. Three airports within an hour.
Most of the businesses in my area are privately owned businesses and attract a lot of tourists. Most of the business are restaurants that are mediocre. Kristi's cafe is a popular local cafe and bakery that has very good food, but they are always out of ingredients, so they have to tell customers that they cannot order several things on the menu pretty often. Vesta's is a pizzeria that is mediocre. We have a subway that is consistent and Dan's Taphouse and Restaurant that is consistent and has good food. We have about 3 stores that consist of decorations and items for homes. Most of the merchandise is overpriced for the residents, so they make profit off of the non-locals.
