This area is extremely family friendly. Crime hardly ever happens around here, and the local schools produce great students. The town is kept clean by both homeowners and the local government. Businesses in town are somewhat expensive but do bring in money and tourism to the town. The historical feel is prevalent both in architecture and artwork throughout the town!
Most of the businesses in my area are privately owned businesses and attract a lot of tourists. Most of the business are restaurants that are mediocre. Kristi's cafe is a popular local cafe and bakery that has very good food, but they are always out of ingredients, so they have to tell customers that they cannot order several things on the menu pretty often. Vesta's is a pizzeria that is mediocre. We have a subway that is consistent and Dan's Taphouse and Restaurant that is consistent and has good food. We have about 3 stores that consist of decorations and items for homes. Most of the merchandise is overpriced for the residents, so they make profit off of the non-locals.
Boonsboro is a small farm town, but it has everything you need for day to day life. Located directly next to the housing development my family lives In there is a Weis groecry store, a gas station, auto shop, bank, pharmacy, fire department, and an antique store all these places are within a minutes walk. If you go into downtown Boonsboro which is only a minute from out home you'll find several restaurants, churches, hardware stores, laundry mat, gym, library, and a hotel that is owned by the writer Nora Roberts. It's a great little town to live in.
