I love Boca Raton, and at the age of 55, I had decided to uproot my previous domicile and 5th Ave South business in the much less culturally diverse and less dynamic city of Naples, FL after 14 years. Boca boasts an upscale environment, world-class cultural offerings, excellent dining and shopping, numerous parks, nature viewing and greenspace, in addition to miles of clean, beautiful, non-commercialized beaches. The few downsides of living in Boca Raton are that the crime rate is escalating, property taxes and auto insurance are high, and there is an obvious presence of homeless people who hunker down at night at the public parks and beaches. Another concern is that downtown Boca has lost much of it's quaint and elegant architectural charm with the recent explosion of massive, ominous highrise condos and apartment buildings, thanks to the underhanded actions and greed of it's politicians. Nonetheless, Boca Raton is still very beautiful, and my number one choice of places to live!

Amazing beaches, lots of restaurants, beautiful setting. It is truly a little town with a lot of options: multiple supermarkets within a few mile radius, tons of restaurants, healthy and organic food is the norm not the exception! A great variety of public parks and activities and programs for children and youth (outdoor play, science museum, gumbo limbo, assorted youth sports...). It is pet friendly- dog parks, dog beaches, and dogs being pushed in baby strollers in the mall! It is a safe community and police are active participants maintaining positive relationships with those who live in Boca Raton. Did I mention the beaches? The sand is clean, the water is beautiful, the sunrises are picture worthy, and you are lucky enough to actually see the sea turtles nest and enter the ocean if you plan accordingly.
Boca Raton is very beautiful and most importantly clean. There are many lovely restaurants in the area, especially near FAU which I attend. Located so close to the beach, Boca emits a fresh ocean breeze, especially during the summer. It does not get too cold; however when it gets hot, the beach is the go-to place to cool off! The beaches of Boca Raton are so beautiful and safe. Many times have I gone on long walks along the shore at nighttime. What a sight to see! The stars, the gently lit hotels hovering over the beach line, cool breeze, and well- kept mangrove trees right along the sand. I enjoy Boca very much and it would be a pleasure to buy a home here someday.
