Generally, you don't live here unless you were born here. This is a suburb of a former rust belt city, after all. It's a very average suburb full of average people, with average schooling and for those who want an average life.
This is, however, one of the safer yet cheaper suburbs to live in around Youngstown. If you're hurting for a cheap place to live and as long as you find a place of work out of the area it's not too bad of a place to get a start. However, if you're looking for a fun place to live, this isn't it. Going anywhere near downtown Youngstown, especially at night, is pretty much asking to get into a bad situation. The police here are friendly and responsive, however.

Boardman os a great family town. It has a great array of shopping centers and restaurant options. There is a lot of job opportunities, everyone is friendly.
Nothing too crazy or special but in a good way. It is not very overwhelming but more than everything you need is nearby. It is a safe town and is not a place some one would say, "that's a bad part of town".
