Bluffton have a quiet southern feel of the Low country. It is a beautiful place to live and raise children. It is a wonderful mix of a yesteryear town feel with new business opportunities. It is growing town and is a pearl of a town especially for young couples ready to grow their family or even older families ready to relax and set some new roots. It has a southern charm but a mix of the modern day carpetbaggers flare and culture.
This town is very beautiful and is quickly becoming very developed. With this increase in the number of residents the demand for services has also increased. The commute to and from school and work isnt bad due to the increase in road developments. There are options for residents regarding grocery stores from Walmsrt,Kroger,Publix, BiLo and etc. For the family, it is very family orientated as most of the communities provide play are for the children to access. It would be a great place to raise a family as all the schools are within 10mins of most if not all communities. I LOVE IT HERE and i'd recommend others to invest in Bluffton
Great area for families; close to the beach. Excellent fishing, golf and tennis. Close to Hilton Head Island; about a 10-15 minute ride. Variety of shopping and restaurants.
My favorite part about Bluffton is the Historic Downtown area, particularly Corner Perk Cafe. Every Thursday the town of Bluffton holds a farmer's market between 2-dusk, where local farmers and community members can fellowship and support local produce. I also love Southern Barrel Brewing Company which is located in Buckwalter Parkway. Buckwalter Parkway is a unique area where everything you need is combined in one shopping center. The one downfall of Bluffton is the traffic, it is absolutely terrible.
Just minutes from Hilton Head Island, right on the banks of the May River, sits the quaint town of Bluffton, South Carolina. Filled with gorgeous antebellum homes, historic churches and all kinds of artisan shops and wonderful restaurants, Bluffton is anything but quiet. It was even named #1 for Amazing Non-Beach Getaways by Huffington Post, which is no surprise since the gorgeous oak trees draped in moss and the scenic views of the May River give Bluffton some the sweetest Southern charm in all of the Lowcountry. No matter whether you’re looking for a great place to fish or explore by kayak, somewhere to have a family vacation, destination wedding, or even a new place to call home, Bluffton is bound to have somewhere perfect for you.
Love where I live, and also work in the area. Enjoy the beach life and communities. I have lived here for 17 years.
Bluffton, South Carolina is a great place to grab a bite to eat. They have everything you can possibly think of I will go back to visit.
Great for an older population, not much to do for younger populations. Very slow paced area, although the people are friendly.
One of the fastest growing cities in South Carolina is Bluffton. The location of Bluffton is very convenient since it is between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Georgia. They are both only 20 minutes away. As far as doing activities outdoors, The May River in Bluffton is a very peaceful place to do water sport activities. There are many things to do and places to see. Such as going to the Farmers Market on Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to about 5:00p.m. Great place to get the freshest organic produce. They also have live music! Bluffton offers a delightful selection on places to eat and drink. It is a wonderful place to visit and live at.
I'm so very grateful to have lived in Bluffton and to see its growth. We truly are the best "small town" in South Carolina. I've been so blessed to send my children to the, what I consider, "Original Elementary School," and to be also be a part of working at that school as a Kindergarten Assistant . Michael C. Riley is not only the heartbeat of our community but also a pioneer in the implementation of the Leader in Me program. I have been able to witness growth, not only from the students, but, also the parents of the community!
I love Bluffton. Bluffton is a very nice city. It is very clean and everyone is nice. I would like to see the roads repaved and the speed limit signs be a little higher in speed they are to slow and I would like for the tow of Bluffton to have more activities for kids because there is nothing to do here.
I love the beauty of the May River and the hearts of the people. When there's a need, the community pulls together as recently seen after Hurricane Matthew.
Bluffton is a very small town where everybody knows everybody. If I could change anything, it would be to slow down how quickly they are developing the area and changing it too quickly.
I have loved living in Bluffton, South Carolina. It is located in a great area, next to Hilton Head Island, Beaufort, and Savannah. We have good schools, local businesses and a small town feel. We have amazing views and great shopping. If I could change one thing about Bluffton it would be to stop putting up so many chain stores and restaurants to make Bluffton more unique and different from all other american towns.
Natural beauty is the signature attribute of the Bluffton lifestyle. Seascapes, marshes, Spanish moss-laden oak trees and strict zoning that prefers quaint architecture and planted buffers make the area physically attractive. Bluffton also has made great investments in bike trails and other outdoor amenities, making a healthy lifestyle easier to achieve. Bluffton is minutes away from the international destination of Hilton Head Island, and within day-trip distance to Charleston, SC. It also is just across the Savannah River from picturesque Savannah, Ga.
I like the area. There is so much to do around here. It is so nice to have such a diverse community that just comes together. I really like all of the beaches nearby. When you have free time you can go sight seeing, golfing, biking, etc. The only thing that I would change is having more opportunities for college students to get jobs, have activities to do, etc. Everyone here is so nice, it's like everyone is one big family.
There are areas in this community, as with anywhere, that have higher crime rates than others. Fortunately, most of the notable crime happens in this area, and stays out of other parts of the town. The police have recently "beefed up" their force, and seem much more attentive and responsive than in the past. Overall, I feel safe in the area.
This area is a great place to raise children, or retire to. It is ever-growing, with some of the best schools in the area. The tight-knit community gives you a feel of safety, and makes it easy to make friends at any age. The climate is warm almost year-round. Although it is growing, it still has that small-town feel that sets it apart from other areas of the country. The future of this community is great, and I would definitely move back.
The houses are pretty, but rushed and fall apart
I don't talk to people much here
