Blue Island is really quiet and small. There's nothing to do here except go to the library or to any of the sporting events they have (Baseball, Football...etc). The few things I would change in Blue Island would be to have a movie theater in our city instead of going to Crestwood or Chicago Ridge to watch a movie, create a program for those that want to further their education in whatever career that they are interested in and invest in the city by creating/bringing in businesses (local/corporate) to give people here an opportunity to be financially stable.

Blue Island is a suburb that is very advanced and has a lot of communication between the city government and the people. City hall is always open to the people and they are able to join the town-hall meetings to express any concerns they may have. There is diversity in this city which means there are many different types of restaurants for all different types of people. Cultural celebrations are also very common, so it's fun to be a part of Blue Island. Something that needs to change is the gang activity. Although in the past years, there has been a decrease in violence, it's still not 100% safe to walk alone at night. More police monitoring should be established.
It is a safe place, for my children and I. Police are nice and friendly! Extremely diverse! Many different events take place at the park district that are safe for families!
