Maybe the best suburb in all of Chicago. Bloomingdale is a great community. Terrific schools, in a family orientated community. There are tons of parks for kids, a skate park, a beautiful pool, huge soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts, trees, public lakes and fields everywhere to view and hang out. Great entertainment: golf , indoor skate parks, bowling, video arcades, restaurants galore and shopping of every kind.. Grocery stores are literally everywhere so you always live close to 1 if not 3! 5 minutes to Schaumburg and 35-40 minutes to the city, Bloomingdale is perhaps the perfect spot.

Most underrated suburb in all of IL. Great schools, no crime, tons of commerce and nightlife.. I find it a joke that Niche has it listed below it's neighboring towns, when residents from those towns envy Bloomingdale! I know, I was one. Bloomingdale has a plethora of 6000sq ft homes+(Los Lagos) ..it has 2 large subdivisions of 3500+ sq ft homes (Bloomfield Club and Founders Pointe).. it has a multitude of starter homes 1500-2500 sq ft (West Lake)... if your looking to move to an area that has it all, look no further.
Bloomingdales is a nice little suburbs out an hour outside of Chicago. It is an older neighborhood in that the population is more weighted on the side of people in their 50's -60's. This being the case it is quieter and on the higher end of the spectrum of affluence. There are parks and open spaces to explore and plenty of churches of many different faiths to attend. The population is also quite diverse with Indians, Polish, Latinos, and Asians represented. There is a feeling of safety and security almost to the extent of being able to leave one's doors unlocked. It is also very clean and gives the vibe of a small town despite having many of the acoutrements of a larger city.
