I grew up in Blauvelt and it’s the perfect place to live! Great place to raise a family. It’s safe and has an excellent school district. I loved my experience living in Blauvelt, NY. It’s on the border of NJ, only an 8 minute drive to Northvale, NJ for them to pump your gas. If you want some great restaurants, bars & things to do then it’s a short drive (10 minutes) to Nyack, NY. You’re only 12 minutes from Piermont, NY to go for a beautiful walk on the pier. Blauvelt has the BEST pub restaurant in Rockland County which is: Baileys! I highly recommend you choose to live in Blauvelt. I absolutely loved my experience at Cottage Lane, South Orangetown Middle School, and Tappan Zee High School! Blauvelt is a lovely hidden gem of a town.

Excellent community, schools and recreation options. Still has small knit feel, yet less than 20 miles to Manhattan.
This is a small town with wonderful people. Everyone helps each other out and we all know each other. The town is small but the people are big! Many great things happen in our town! We help out the neighbors in trouble, the kids that are working as a team to win and even those that have left because of medical issues. They will not be forgotten as we keep their memories alive through our neighborhood!! This is a great place to have a family and our education is top notch! I would not want to live anywhere different!
