Blandon, PA is a very nice, solid community, ideal for singles, young or older couples and those with children. Neighborhoods are pleasantly arranged and well-cared for. Maidencreek Township does a good job of keeping the roads up-to-date and there are seldom any power outages or other environmental issues. Low crime rate and easy access to Routes 222 and 662. You are 30 minutes to Reading or Allentown in either direction. All the quiet of suburbia, but within close proximity of the city. Good schools!
I have lived in Blandon for over 10 years, and it is certainly just a little quiet town, but it is a nice one. There's nothing too crazy going on for the most part. The community is friendly and keeps to themselves. There are a lot of local small businesses around, and it is centrally located right by a highway. The school district is well run, and the community is a good place to raise a child. Housing is nice and affordable for a few moderate price ranges. The town is nice and quite picturesque. I enjoy living here, and I am sure others would too.
Beautiful town, would love to see more community events that engage everyone. Park could use some work to make it easier to have community events where everyone can join in. Ensuring safety and community values would help build a better environment for the kids.
