Blaine Reviews

I love living in Blaine, it's beautiful, had a lot of great shopping places (could use a jcpenny and sbarro, lol). Most people are friendly here. The community gets involved in helping ppl who are struggling. Like elderly communities getting weekly deliveries of food, etc. The trails could use some love but are generally pretty good. I find the roads are quickly cleared from snow as well in winter. The job market is improving as companies in the area are increasing pay rates for the cost of living.
Only small complaint, when I was at work there were 2 instances of a person coming in to use the bathroom and did crack in it. 2x's! In less than a few months. 1 we were afraid does in the bathroom but we kept checking on him every 10 minutes (family bathroom locked) after an hour we told him we were going to call ems. Just sad. But that's the worst experience so far.

There is all sorts of events, experiences, job opportunities, and schools in and around the area. We are a larger suburb located just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis. One of the major issues when I drive to school, I go to Spring Lake Park High School in Spring Lake Park Minnesota, is the overflowing amount of people traveling around one central road being highway 65. It's always backed up for miles in both direction in the morning and afternoon rush hours. This as you may have guessed has made it difficult to get to school sometimes but I took advantage of all the residential and back roads that actually become faster than 65. One thing that I like about Blaine is the all of the entertainment options that become available such as the national sports center where soccer tournaments frequently play during the summer time as well as the 3M Open. All in all Blaine does have some issues but the city is constantly making improvements to help better the lives of all of its residents.
Lots of development happen, but lacks infrastructure needed to support the heavy flow of traffic that comes in for events at the sports center. Major stores are near each other, but if you can't drive you're in for a long day, as the city lacks safe walking pathes to most major places and there's extremely limited public transportation. The schools are OK, but lack a support network for struggling students. Lots of job opportunities, as long as you don't care about income, and can work a traditional schedule.
