Bladensburg is "up and coming" as a place to live. Homes are being renovated, are affordable, and new neighbors are buying and moving in. Apartment complexes are generally well managed and work with the Mayor and town council when issues arise. Police and Public Works Departments are very responsive to their diverse community. Town needs more diversity in it's retail offerings and the shopping centers are old. Generally good access to transportation via bus. Easy connection to major highways for commutes to Washington, Baltimore and parts of Northern Va. by car. Have not had children in the schools so will let others rate them, but they are close and numerous!

Bladensburg is a really nice town for raising a family, its a place where there arent many apartment buildings but lots of single family homes. There's lots of local businesses here, and most importantly its a family of neighborhoods inside of a neighborhood.
Since moving to the town of Bladensburg my family and I have had a great experience, the neighborhood in which we live is quite diverse. During the night there is not any noise outside during the weekend, occasionally on weekends when a neighbor may be having a party but parties do not occur often so it is no big deal within the neighborhood when someone does have one. Also are two elementary school by for little ones and a high school near by as well. You also have easy access to beltways and highways which is great if you have to commute for work.
