Blackstone is an amazing little town in Massachusetts. Quiet neighborhood where you can relax and be at peace at the same time have friendly neighbors you can reach out to when needed. Not a lot of houses in town so the home values keep increasing, and quite frankly - nobody really wants to sell and move out. Taxes are a bit higher but its the price you pay for the quiet and friendly neighborhood, the low crime rate, good schools and great access to utilities. You'll even have enough space to have a nice garden for flowers or grow your own food! Plus factor: you can look at work opportunities in three big places - Boston, Providence, Worcester.

My family moved to Blackstone over three years ago and have not regretted it since! Blackstone is one of those secret little towns nobody wants you to know about.. the houses are lovely, mostly older homes - well-built, charming, will stand the test of time (and have! some of the houses are decades old if not over a century!). The neighbors - and the entire Blackstone community itself - is AMAZING: friendly, people go out of their way to help, most (if not all) are decent and respectful. If you aren't that neighborly... not a problem either as its a pretty quiet town that gives you a lot of space away from the hustle and bustle of the city and away from noisy (and nosy) neighbors.

Taxes may be a bit higher but for the services and the quiet community - definitely worth it. There's not a lot of home inventory in town so when we found a house we were ecstatic - never regretted jumping in quickly and moving to town.
Blackstone has its nice areas and rough neighborhoods, and it's a nice low-to-middle-income town for families that don't have booming social calendars. In my couple of years here I've experienced tons of kindness from neighbors and locals, but have also driven around police detours while there were attempted armed robberies.
