This is a very safe area to live in, a suburb just behind UCF. The communities are rural and are targeted towards young, diverse families. The community is close to several shopping centers, and the theme parks, attractions, outlet malls, etc. are just a short drive away.
You can get virtually anything you'd ever want; including anything from frozen yogurt, to giant 1 ton rocks to put in your backyard. Mom and pop restaurants are abundant, but if those aren't your style don't worry, there are all the major logos and companies around. Everything is all compacted and only a 20 minute drive from the major shopping plaza.
The area I live in is very safe and there are some days where I feel as if I could leave my door unlocked. However, the proximity to UCF and downtown Orlando still leaves room for some crime, yet the areas are far removed enough to not be of too much concern.
