Bisbee is a beautiful town with beautiful weather. It is great place to visit because of the artsy, cool little stores, creative events, and fun bars. We moved here almost 5 yrs ago for those exact reasons--one of the worse decisions of my life.
Living in Bisbee is like living in the birthplace of the "Karen"--older, white, petty, mean, gossipy people with an undeserving sense of self-righteousness & entitlement, and the emotional intelligence of a 12 yr old, if that. Many are narcissistic, radical leftists.
Bullying & harassment abounds. My family has personally suffered a myriad attacks from two seperate neighbors to include criminal property damage on multiple occasions & randomly screaming at us while we were in our house either sleeping or minding our own business.
Now we are stuck here because we invested all of our money in remodeling our home that was infested with black mold that the local inspector never found (?). Apparently, that is also common here.

I don't know who wrote the description for our little town, but clearly, they've never spent much - or any - time here. First, this is one of the most progressive towns I've ever known (and I've lived and traveled all over this country and to many foreign ones as well), certainly the most per capita of any small town west of the Mississippi...e.g., the first in this state - long before the Supreme Court decision - to legalize LGBT unions, over the objections of the state. Yes, Cochise County is overall conservative, but this town is the exact opposite. Second, it could not be considered "suburban" by any stretch because it's not near any urban center. Finally, if you're a friendly person, willing to help your neighbors and your community, and you think you'd enjoy a funky, artsy, friendly little town with beautiful high desert/mountain scenery and the best weather in the country, please feel free to join us.
A small cultural gem in the heart of the Mule mountains near the Mexican border. I live about 30 mins away in Hereford where it is quieter but I couldn't live here if I didnt have access to a quirky, colorful and more liberal place like Bisbee. People are very cool there.
