I have loved growing up in Billerica, for the most part. My neighborhood is very nice and I appreciate it a lot! The kids were not nice when I went to school here, but the scenic parts of Billerica and comforting hometown nature of it largely made up for that part of my life. The brand new elementary and high schools are huge pluses for anyone moving here. It is a pretty safe town as well.
Billerica is a safe, but somewhat boring suburb. There is not an exciting downtown area like there is in other surrounding towns or really much of anything to do for fun. One often has to travel into other towns when trying to find activities. The commute by car into Boston on a good traffic day is 25 minutes and on a bad day is probably 45 minutes. The public school system is good overall.
Billerica is an amazing place to live. It is full of people who are community friendly, as in neighbors who live in your community always look out for one another. Billerica's public schools are very competitive and highly ranked. It provides students with aggressive and challenging courses while also providing them with a variety of options for sports every season. Billerica is a pretty diverse area and provides much safety to everyone. Billerica proves to be a safe town that is family friendly especially in neighborhoods all over the town.
