Bigfork Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 12 reviews
Bigfork is located in the Flathead Valley in Montana. I love this area because it is both a great place to travel to and is a fun place to live. There are many delicious restaurants to enjoy, some with a view of Flathead Lake. You can walk down to the lake and enjoy a nice swim or a boat trip in the summer. If you like touring the water, there are plenty of canoes, jet skis, fishing boats, and ski boats available to rent or you can join a guided boat tour downtown. Afterwards, you can grab some ice cream and stop by the local library or check out the local market.
Bigfork is twenty minutes away from Kalispell, a larger town with plenty of stores, an excellent movie theater, and a well-revered community college. Continue a half hour more and you'll find yourself in Whitefish where you’ll find many restaurants and a wonderful resort to enjoy. Whitefish Mountain Resort is widely known for its incredible ski runs and its awesome biking trails and zip lines. Bigfork is awesome!

As a resident here I am growing disenchanted with this once beautiful, quiet place. During the summer we are absolutely choked with tourists. This place is over advertised and trying to enjoy the amenities is a nightmare. A lot of residents go outside of Bigfork to enjoy the Montana scenery. During the miserable cloudy winters you had better find something you enjoy to keep you occupied. The bleak winters used to be offset by nice summers but that is gone. Too many urbanites bringing their attitudes with them. Iwill probably sell in the next couple of years and escape the summer crowds.
Bigfork is a unique town sitting on the bay of beautiful Flathead Lake. Bigfork has a hallmark type downtown with cute shops and food.
