Beulah is a very friendly town. It has a great school system with workers that actually care about the students. Every year, Beulah hosts the Mercer County Fair. There are a variety of churches in town, most of which work together in the community. Beulah has a public library, fit club and facility, senior center, swimming pool (Beulah Water Park), and several parks. Beulah is close to the Dakota Gasification Company, Dakota Westmoreland Corp (coal mine), and Beulah Power Plant. Main Street is home to a variety of businesses including a grocery store, chiropractors, beauty salons, hardware store, bank, and laundromat. Just off Main Street there is a candy store with ice cream and Pride of Dakota chocolates. Beulah has a great staff at Coal Country Community Health Center, which is next door to Dairy Queen (the only fast food restaurant in town).
This is a very kid friendly environment. It was even ranked the safest town in North Dakota! It is a nice town if you would like to start a family, however there is not much to do. That is what most of the kids struggle with nowadays.
I live in Hazen, and I feel like Beulah, ND is just a larger version of Hazen. Great schools with great programs!
