The crime in Oak Harbor is very minimal. It is not very often that crime happens here. Stores don't get robbed or broken into, and neither do houses. The most crime we see around here is around Christmas time when people are desperate for money or gifts. The police force does a great job of responding to accidents, crimes or anything else. They aren't always visible, but they are always there in a bad situation. The police are always very pleasant to talk to and have the situation dealt with.

The town of Oak Harbor is great. The people are friendly and will give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. There aren't many things to do in Oak Harbor, but it is still a great town. Being just 10 miles away from Lake Erie, it creates a good attraction in the summer time. The town of Oak Harbor is continuing to grow as it has just gained a Taco Bell. The city is looking to continue the growth of the city with and amphitheater on the Portage River.
The people around and in the Oak Harbor Ohio area are phenomenal people. They genuinely care about the people in their community and help out every chance they get. With the town being small everyone is so close niche that everyone knows everyone. So when someone new enters the neighborhood they tend to notice and help take care of them while they are settling in. Overall it is a fantastic place to live.
