Benson Reviews
Rating 3.54 out of 5 24 reviews
Benson is located at the crossroads of 95 and 40 an should be a bustling location full of life, progress, dining and entertainment!
Unfortunately Benson has been close-minded and stuck in a rut that's resulted in empty non-entertainment / non-dining businesses. Downtown is empty by 7pm most evenings unless some religious activity is going on where being seen by others is more important then faith.
The annual Mule Days seem to attract a crowd of the good ol'boys which the town focuses on to try recoup revenue lost the rest of the year but again if you been to one it's the same routine every year with the same acts.
If you have children there are very few activities for you to take them to unless you leave Benson. Recreational areas are not a focus for this town. There is a very mediocre playground, aged members only city pool, aged city gym.
Housing and land are relatively still cheap and you can easily drive out of Benson to more accommodating towns to spend your time and money.

Benson is a calm town for the most part. New things have been recently done to make the city better. There are also a lot of community and business-sponsored activities you can participate in, especially for kids.
Nice people, and a sense of community in the surrounding area. There is never a lack of social events one is being welcomed to or that are being held. Nice place to be a resident of.
