There are no activities to do. Theaters and other enjoyment is 40 miles away in Sierra Vista,Tucson, Bisbee or Tombstone. Many people in the area turn to self medicating to cope manage boredom and stress. I also believe that law enforcement has not addressed many issues in public safety well, so there is more crime than you would expect in a small town.

Benson Arizona has the all American small town feel. Residents in Benson and its surrounding areas are amiable, and many are willing to lend help if needed. The Benson school district has an A+ rating and filled with smart, generous, and well-mannered children. Everyone within and around the town help to look after each other and try to keep it a great place and inviting community.
Benson is a great town for families. Sporting events are the main entertainment including high school football, little league, soccer, and football for the younger kids. Elementary and High schools are good but a little over crowded. The middle school has a few years of bad leadership but is working on correcting it.
