Bensalem has all the conveniences of our major city, Philadelphia, but with the suburban quietness we enjoy. In my area, neighbors are friendly, considerate, and helpful when needed. It's common seeing neighborhood kids playing together and parents walking their dogs together. There's plenty of restaurants here and even more fast food joints in the area. We have everything else we need including supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacies, shopping malls, hair salons, dry cleaners, etc. Bensalem is a great place to grow up, a great place to raise a family, and a great place to retire.

I love living in Bensalem! Bensalem is a diverse community with amazing people and cultures. The public schools are a great place to send your children. I wish the Township was more family friendly and family business oriented. It is lacking in family entertainment and a cozy feel. I hate having to drive to another town for family activities.
Generally speaking, Bensalem is a typical American suburban to live in. People are friendly here. But there is nowhere to have fun with friends. Bensalem has a bad reputation in the neighbor townships because it is the suburb of Philadelphia, where drugs and prostitution related crimes occur often. I'm hoping to see a safer community and a better reputation in Bensalem.
