Benns Church Reviews
There is almost no growth in this area. All the surrounding cities are adding new businesses and jobs, but Smithfield is just building more high-income housing. We were suppose to get a Walmart, but people fought it. Employment for youth is even worse, limited mostly to fast food. Many high schoolers work in the city because they cannot find employment here. Smithfield needs to build more businesses for more jobs!
My favorite local business would be Ringo's donuts. I actually like them better than Krispy Kreme, but I wish that they would make more donuts and stay open longer. I actually do not go to a lot of local businesses because their is really not much variety in Smithfield or Carrolton. Carrolton needs some sort of dollar store. Most people prefer to go out of town for many things because either they cannot find it in Smithfield or it is too expensive in Smithfield. For example, I have to travel out of town because no store in Smithfield has stuff for aquariums. I like the idea of small businesses, but they do not provide for the town like Walmart could.
There is not much variety when it comes to food. There is plenty of fast food and pizza places, but not a lot of nice restaraunts. I have tried Bridges before, but the food is nothing special. I have heard good things about Smithfield Station.
