After moving in the fourth grade a couple little towns over to Ben Avon, I was very anxious about starting at a new public school and trying to fit in to such a nicer neighborhood, in terms of financially and aesthetically. However, I later found how tight knit the community is and just how kind and social everyone in the neighborhood is. The school is very nice and has a good reputation and you cannot go more than two minutes for a walk and not have someone smile or say hello to you.

I am a long term resident and have watched the town decline. The homes are nice and it is walk-able. There is no nightlife. As far as safety there is now a registered sex offender in town, drug overdoses and there have been many car break-ins. This is a very high drama town. The people are unfriendly unless it is in their interest and want something from you. The schools are okay if the student plays a sport. There is literally no diversity.
Comfortable place to live. Variety of homes, both in size and grandeur. Very walking and pet friendly. Interesting history.
