I love this small town. Everyone here is welcoming and kind. Because our population is about 30,000 people or schools don’t have many people so you know everyone which I this it nice! Most people don’t like Belvidere because of all the corn fields but I actually love driving down country roads with my windows down listening to music and looking at the fields.

I enjoy my neighborhood in Belvidere because I am right in between two parks (Doty and Belvidere Park) and a block away from downtown State Street where all of the festivities happen. I feel safe on my block, and enjoy walking to wherever I need to go and there is plenty of businesses within walking distance. For being a decent sized town, it has a nice small town feel and is surrounded by country land, but it's still only 10 minutes from Rockford where all the major shopping is.
Not many would picture this little town as thriving, but Belvidere has just about everything you could find in bigger towns nearby and has the small town feel. I would like to see the city clean up State Street a little but other than that this town is perfect for raising a family!
