Belmont started out as a small town outside of Charlotte, NC. It was quiet and a very nice homey environment. Over the past 6-7 years the population and business have grown for the better. There are plenty of great restaurants and activities to do!
Belmont is known to be predominately white. They recently took down there confederate flag on Wilkinson Blvd. Racist? Yes. I’ve experienced it first hand walking into restaurants big and small. Where are all the back doctors here??? It’s a shame and disappointing to say the least. I do appreciate the quietness here. In the midst of everything happening in the world today, I do feel a sense of relief with the amount of peace I get living in Belmont. It’s definitely a small town and a lot of the activities here are just not diversified. The housing and apartment market is super expensive. I was once told, the prices are that high to keep black people away. Belmont is not a terrible place to live but you just have to be cautious and vigilant of everything. We need more experienced, professional and true black doctors here!!!!!!! ASAP!!!!!
Belmont is a small town near Charlotte. We have a great downtown area where you can find a lots of dining, small boutiques, we even have two buildings that is sponsored by Holy Angels. No limitations where I'm from. The schools are enriched with tradition, once a Raider always a Raider. We all wear red and black on game day. Our football stands are filled every Friday night no matter if we are playing at home or away, we are a town that believes in pouring back into our youth. Belmont is a place like no other, a place I call home.
