Belmont, NC is one of those hidden gems right outside of Charlotte, NC. 10 years ago there was very little there, but in the last couple of years, Belmont has become one of the those cool little towns with only a 15 mile commute to center city Charlotte. Main street is full of local restaurants and boutiques and the night life is thriving.

Schools are great, cost of living is about par with the greater Charlotte area and it is a very family friendly community with several parks and greenways to enjoy.

Belmont is a cute little town. Family-friendly, shops, and more! Parks are clean and pet-friendly, too.
It’s a great place for families with a bustling but walkable downtown, very good public schools and multiple parks and green areas.

But the town lacks diversity and aside from the retail and restaurant businesses in town, there aren’t a lot of jobs in town itself. Most folks are commuting to Charlotte or Charlotte suburbs for work.
