I haven't been living here very long, but so far my experience here has been great. In my first week of living in this neighborhood, the neighbors left a welcome card in my family's mailbox. We'd never been greeted in such a way, and to experience that for the first time was very heartwarming, to say the least. When the leaves of our tree began to fall, and we had a very small rake that wasn't doing a great job, a neighbor came by to ask if we would like to borrow his rake. This neighborhood is really kind and doesn't make me feel unsafe, not one bit. Every morning i go out, the neighbors say hello, and give a warm smile. I feel very grateful to have moved here.

My experience is Bellwood is ok I wish the school system could be much better that children can get an equal education like other suburbs like hinsdale or downers grove Illinois. The children need newer books and newer computers and the school needs air conditioners in every room or central air the school doesn’t have air conditioners when it’s 90 degrees outside the children can’t stay in class because it’s to hot. I feel that Bellwood does not have equal opportunities. Bellwood could be a safer community also police could focus more on crime and less on who has a city window sticker. Bellwood can also have more activity for the children to do and help more teenagers with job opportunity’s.
As long as I been here in Bellwood, I hardly heard about any crimes happening. As I was growing up neighbors and others around my block would hang out with one another. The schools were pretty good we had some devoted teachers and administrators who wanted the students to succeed in life. Bellwood was quite in certain parts, there a lot of businesses that were bringing in some money to help to keep schools and other businesses open. There are affordable homes that are easy fixer uppers for families.
