Bellevue is a very nice suburb in the South East area of Omaha. It doesn't feel as large or as busy as the main portion of Omaha. There are so many mom-and-pop restaurants, small shops, good schools and in close proximity to Papillion, Omaha, Elkhorn, and even Council Bluffs in Iowa.
Bellevue is a town of around 62,000 people and is 15 minutes south of Omaha. The best way to describe Bellevue is it's not for everyone. Many in the town come from a mix of backgrounds which makes for an interesting culture. We all come together to help each other in times of need which I think makes it more special than the surrounding areas like Elkhorn and Omaha. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and the atmosphere of the town in general. Its a relatively safe town where you don't have to worry so much about staying out late or any crazy things happening. All in all Bellevue is a very mellow town with many backgrounds that make it very interesting.
Bellevue is a great place to live for anyone looking to take residence in the metro area. It is very affordable and feels like a small community even though it is the third largest city in Nebraska. That doesn't mean it doesn't come with it's own issues such as poor road maintenance and a few others, but overall it is still a great place to live.
I think Bellevue is a lovely area to live in if you want to experience the Omaha city without having to worry about the issues that come with city life. Bellevue is a very calm area just about 15-20 minutes away from Omaha. It’s a smaller town that I feel rarely has issues, and it has lots of fun places to visit, like public parks, boba tea shops, and more. You can never run out of things to do here because it’s only a short drive to Omaha. The atmosphere and views from Bellevue, Nebraska are unmatched. I believe it is a great town to live in.
Bellevue is in a good location as it is close to the big city while still having the small town feel. Definitely a great community. Farmer’s Market in Washington Park is an annual summer favorite and there are other well-loved events throughout the year for all ages. Close proximity to Offutt Air Force Base makes it an ideal location for active duty and retirees and their families.
Good place to live especially for the older population but young families may enjoy the Bellevue life as well.

Uh it's a pretty white, suburban area with lower middle class and poor people living in the Old Towne Section.
I absolutely love Bellevue, NE. It is an extremely safe area. I wake up to the sound of birds in the morning and see families on evening walks every single day. All of the residents are Midwest polite and will offer help without being asked. If you want to step outside to take the trash out and be greeted by neighbors looking for a friendly afternoon chat this is the place to be. I couldn't say how many times I've accidently left my garage door open all day long and returned with everything untouched. Going for a jog or walk but don't want to carry your house keys? No problem! I regularly step out for some exercise while leaving my place unlocked without a worry in the world. It is a beautiful area with plenty of wide walking paths that hug gorgeous creeks. I've never been more impressed with living in the city. Bellevue has that homey safe feeling while being within minutes of the big city life.
Bellevue's a pretty nice city. The winters are cold and the summers are hot, but the people are pretty awesome!
My husband and I have lived in the Olde Towne Bellevue area for about 2.5 years. We have enjoyed living in Bellevue because we are within 20 minutes from the shops of downtown Omaha, while also benefiting from the serene, peaceful views on the edge of city limits. We love being outdoors, so the state parks that surround us are also a benefit to the town.
It's a nice and quiet suburb even though it is not very far from the busy center of Omaha. I love my neighborhood and the access to all of the local businesses. Everyone here cares about their community and does as much as they can to make things easier during these tough times.
I think its a really peaceful place and nice place to live. Its not to crowded or empty and everyone seems to mind their business but also are kind. It is also pretty diverse.
We moved from the San Antonito-Austin corridor so this area has been a shock. The weather is extreme-26 (day) -40 (night)wind chill with rolling blackouts, snowing 3 inches per hour in Feb 2021. The town is very small but does offer the basics like a hospital, grocery stores, basic restaurants, schools (can comment on quality since we do not have school aged children). It is a short 15 minutes for my husband to get to work and the VA hospital. The taxes are extreme, car, state, restaurant, no property tax exemptions, taxes on military pensions, all retirements, social security, estates etc. We have never seen such bad roads or vehicles driving on them in our lives. The people are not friendly and we have not gotten to know any of our neighbors even though we walk and run around here, they simply do not leave their homes. We have found very little to do up here, if your used to low taxes, friendly neighbors, and activities this area is not for you!
The Bellevue area is a pretty good place to grow up with plenty to do both in Bellevue and in the nearby towns and cities.
I’ve lived in Bellevue for a long time, and the best thing about it is that it is a suburb of Omaha, so there is always something to do. However, the residents are mostly nice, and everything someone would need is close by.
Very calm and safe place to live. Neighbors are very friendly, it has a lot of parks for kids and dogs. The only minor negative thing is that there is not much to do if you are a teenager
I like Bellevue because is more calm and spacious. Everyone is nice. There is safety in every corner for the most part. Also, there are beautiful houses.
Was stationed here, not a bad place quick and easy to Omaha and a lot to do as well. Schooling community great
