Small city population, small town feel.....seasonal country appeal...initially we were looking at Two Rivers for our retirement destination; but quickly became concerned with complaints of mildewy aged rental properties in declining condition, all of a sudden demanding increases in rental rates that the market would not support. Bellevue returns favorable, encouraging reports on low crime, Friendly neighborhoods, best area to raise a family.....but watch out for the lake effect Green Bay winters whistling southward !
Bellevue is a relatively small town, but it sure is big on excitement! In summer, children ride their bikes down the sidewalks and playing hide-and-seek on the park jungle gyms. This is always a heartwarming site to see, especially when they get excited to see the ice cream truck coming down the road. Once fall hits, the leaves from the trees are pushed into big piles in every yard, and neighbors invite each other over to grill hamburgers while their children jump in the leaves. After trick-or-treating and apple picking season progresses into winter, snow begins to fall faster than people can shovel it. This doesn't put anyone down, seeing as how they use their snow day opportunities to engage in snowball fights and sledding. Finally, spring in Bellevue is beautiful, when the snow melts to reveal little yellow flowers and once again, children bring the bikes back outside. This town may be a stereotypical, small community where everyone knows each other, but it sure feels like home!
Bellevue is a very friendly community with close proximity to many restaurants, stores, and workplaces. There are many families in the area that can make use of the public parks, and high quality schools.
