Belchertown is a nice family town in western Massachusetts. Many people may consider the town somewhat "suburban" due to the nature of having very little to do and many of the families that live her commute to a near by city for work. Belchertown is a town full of banks and pizza shops, and sits upon the beautiful Quabin Reservoir. Belchertown, despite its size, is a "small town," in the sense that most everyone who has or had a child in the school system knows one another and all about the many of the families, so in essence, much of live in Belchertown is not private if you are associated with the school system. Overall, Belchertown is a nice, quiet town to live in.

Family friendly, nice and clean. Quiet. Not much in ways of night life here but bars and restaurants are easy to get to in any direction. Great place to raise a family with lots of family events. We have a great fair every September and food truck fridays in the summer. We have 2 lakes to use for different reasons, swimming, fishing, canoeing. Traffic isn't bad and we have good schools and a diverse community of people.
I have been living in Belchertown for 16 years now and absolutely love it. When first moving to this town back in 2002, there were many more farms and open fields. Within the past years I have watched the town grow in numbers and grow in opportunity. From job opportunities, to playgrounds inclusive to those with disabilities, to allowing distilleries and new shops to open up in this town, it is definitely a town in which all could come to love.
