Bedford is the perfect place for families due to the safety and amazing education system they offer. There is also Bedford Day which is a nice family event. It has a playground and small parks. It isn't very diversity most of the population is white with some Asian Americans. As well for it being small town and family-friendly there definitely is no nightlife. This place in terms of family-friendly is 5 stars but for someone who is single, I would not recommend it. There is an issue of affordability but is defiantly worth it because the safety and school system is worth it for families.

Bedford is nestled within a historical area of Boston/central Massachusetts. There are several small towns nearby that offer anything and everything an individual or family would need. Most importantly, downtown Boston is located roughly 30 minutes away. No matter what an individual is looking for, a nearby town will have it in many forms. For example, every type of cuisine is in the area and usually has multiple offerings. This said, Bedford is a must visit and must live type of city.
Bedford is the town where "family" includes everyone. There is one school for grades K-2, one for 3-5, one middle school and one high school, and these schools are tops in the nation! .The students all know each other well, support each other and are raised by "the village." It's a beautiful home town with a quaint downtown, Bedford Day parade, and boasts the oldest flag in the nation. There's a paved bike path that goes to Alewife station in Cambridge and boasts major businesses as well.
What would I change? Traffic on the main road can get tough in the evening and mansions keep popping up everywhere.
