My family and I just became a resident of this city and so far the current street I live on is good, compared to the city I came from in Cleveland. The schools in this city have a great testing and passing ratio, but I do not care for the process they use to distribute information to the parents. I feel like I'm in the dark when it comes to seeking information about my child's grades/progress in the teachers classroom. My neighborhood so far I have very few complaints. The police are there at the drop of a dime when you need them and when you don't need them.
It's a quiet, seemingly safe neighborhood, with nice lawns, fancy old houses. There is a decent amount of construction happening in the surrounding areas. Groceries are fairly accessible to get to walking. Quaint little shops are uptown. There's a cool natural park to explore.
Bedford is a very average city. The counsel members are not helpful and taxes get raised every year, but we never get the benefits that they promised. There doesn't seem to be too much crime, and I do feel safe going out by myself at night. It's usually quiet but there is very little shopping in the area.
