What I like about Battle Mountain is that it is a very supportive and small community. Families are mostly all good friends with one another and it's somewhat of a diverse town. I like how I can feel safe mostly everywhere I go and how there is not a lot of traffic when I commute to school or practice. What I hope that will change about this town is the amount of job opportunities and the safety in our high school. Our high school has rarely had problems, but it still isn't as safe as it should be, but they are working on that now.

My experience in Battle Mountain has had some ups and downs but it has become my home for years now and I couldn't be more grateful. The people in this town know one another and we are all familiar to each other and its a community where everyone supports each other, mostly in school activities. Battle Mountain, Nevada is home of the Longhorns.
Battle Mountain is a small town full of good O'l boys. Your last name gets you every where, including your children. The school are fairly good and it's a decent place to raise children until about junior high. Not much to do of course and the nearest walmart, movie theater, and even fast food (other than McDonald's) is all an hour away.
