Working in Bath
Bath, NY is my hometown, where I was born and raised. As a current resident, I believe that this is an excellent town to grow up in. Everyone is involved in the community. The public school is amazing because the staff is great with the kids and its a safe learning environment. Bath is a small town, but if you have a family then it's the right place for you because with the school there are lots of activities to do. It is part of the Fingerlakes region, so the lakes are a busy area during the summertime, varying from wineries to restaurants to tubing on the lake. The cost of buying a house on the real estate market is lower compared to the bigger towns surrounding Bath. The police department is always ensuring the safety of everyone in town, they are always out driving around town to make sure everyone is abiding by the law. Overall, I feel that Bath is an excellent place to live and raise a family in.
I lived around Bath for my entire life, but for a small portion of my life did I actually live IN Bath. Where I lived was great because I lived right across the road from a couple similar aged boys that my brother and I would hang out with, play sports, and videogames, and other fun stuff. About a year later another boy moved in a couple houses down from the other kids, and him and I got along quite well, even better than with my brother. My brother started making them slowly dislike me through the years, but it never got to me because I had another friend. If there was one thing I could change about Bath, is that I would like to get rid of all of the dangerous drugs around the streets, and clean them up.
Bringing Business to Bath would help boost economy. The town hosts events for families at the Dormann Library and in the Park there is Music in the Park and Farmer's Markets, and the Schools host events for children. The town could have more community events for families and teenagers. Not many job opportunities in town.
