My family are all from Batesville, but I grew up in Little Rock. Batesville is far behind the times, and there are not many things to do. People with money do well here, but the average person is not easily welcomed here. I've never seen a town so political. It's all about who you know!

I was born and raised here! It may be small, but I love it here! I am raising my daughter here! I have grown to love this place and all of its adventures. The safety is very great, its family friendly, the cost of living is not bad, the schools are smaller than big cities, but it works! There are many different job titles and openings all around. I have grown quite fond of my little country town.
My experience living in Batesville, Ar is that it is an awesome place to raise a family. Virtually no crime at all. Batesville sets on the White River so fishing is abundant, the park at the river is a great place to take your children for an afternoon of fun and fishing. Small town community where you know your neighbor, and the community is experiencing lots of growth. I would like to see change is tax rates needs to be lowered. Batesville is on of the highest in taxes in the state of Ar. I would also like to see The housing market prices drop some. I feel that for the employment and size of our town the housing market prices are above average. Overall this is a great place to live. I raised my family here, now my children are raising their families here.
