Bandera is a rustic old style living kind of town. Theres mom and pop chains, hidden in or around gas stations, but thats the beauty of it. The trees, the dirt, yea sometimes we get the drout, crops dry up, but when that rain comes. The fear of having no crops or cattle goes away. In this town, everybody knows everybody. Neighbors help neighbors but they also help strangers. Cowboy boot, horse back riding in the streets kind of town. I would not want to wake up in any town, cause there isnt one like Bandera.

Bandera is a small town. If you don't mind the nearly hour long commute to San Antonio, it's a great place to be. There's not much to do, but crime is low, you can see the stars at night (even the Milky Way), and people will definitely stop while you're out for a walk to have a chat. If you like cowboys, even better, because this is the "Cowboy Capital of the World"!
Bandera has a great small town feel. Bandera is a welcoming town. Their historical significance is valued and celebrated with weekend charm and open air markets.
