Balcones Heights Reviews
I live in the Art Deco Area, and I love driving through my neighborhood! Every house is different, and makes commuting not such a chore. The location is convenient as well, since we live in between two major highways. The Riverwalk is also only 10 minutes away!
Balcones Heights is a very well located suburb that has access to the major interstate highways in San Antonio. It is not very pedestrian friendly, so consider a vehicle if moving to this area. Overall, I have not had any incidents regarding crime, but I know that police response time is quick.
Balcones Heights is an area of San Antonio that has significantly grown in the last five years. I have lived in the area since early 2011 and have seen many changes, the most prominent being in the realm of small and large businesses. Police and neighborhood watch programs are also some of the things I have seen grow in that time. I would, however, like to see more street lights put up in some of the areas that are darkest. I feel that it would be very easy for theft to occur, merely because of the lack of light in some areas of my neighborhood.
