I would like to see more economic growth and development with more jobs and industry coming into the county.
A quiet town, art galleries, great sandwich shop, friendly people, local festivals, walking trail on a creek walk, small schools, beautiful mountain views
I spent the summer in BVLE while taking a class at Penland. The best part is it’s proximity to Roan Mtn. The people are nice but since it’s so small, progress is slow. It’s a dry county because one of the city council members won’t allow alcohol. This causes problems for restaurants and people drive to the neighbor city, Spruce Pine, to have a beer with dinner. Speaking of dinner I hope you can cook becuase most places close by 8PM. Not many healthy food options nearby. Pretty good arts
program but it’s highly competitive and saturated with potters.

Nice small town area. There is not much in the area. Here, the majority of people know each other and people look out for one another.
Bakersville is in a beautiful area in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are plenty of hiking opportunities nearby. There is not much to do in Bakersville, but it is a nice place to observe nature. The people are friendly, and it is a cute, quaint little town.
