I would like to see more businesses open up. It is small, but it is a very friendly town. The metro area is Greenville and it is a pretty nice size city. There are plenty job opportunities in Greenville. It is also a college town home of the East Carolina Pirates. It is about a twelve minute drive from Ayden. Ayden has four parks, and locally owned restaurants. We also have a Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Chinese restaurant, subway, McDonald’s, Hardee’s. Bojangles, and a Mexican restaurant. Ayden has a annual festival called the Collard Festival.
Ayden is a small town with small town values. The town has events such as Carnivals, a Collard Festival, and Bar-B-Q cook offs. The community is tight knit, hospitable, and friendly with a great atmosphere. Come visit us here in Ayden sometime.

I have lived in Ayden, NC for about seven years now and it has been nothing but a positive experience. It is a small rural community that is super friendly.
