I have lived in Avon Lake my whole life and I would not have wanted to grow up anywhere else. It is a friendly community and it is hard to go anywhere without running into someone you know! Although it is not as booming as Avon, you can always find something to do. The lake is enjoyable in the summer months and there is always something going on at the library for kids or adults! The community is very proud, go Shoremen!

Avon Lake is a quiet suburb just west of Cleveland. It is a cozy and comforting town full of families both young and old. There are four elementary schools, an intermediate school (5-6), a middle school (7-8), and a high school (9-12) that strive to educate their children to the highest ability. The city is clean and safe for families. Just south of it (about 5-15 minutes max) are shopping centers and outlets. This small city is a gem for people looking for a quiet place to live in with many resources just outside of it.
I have lived in Avon Lake my entire life and can say that it is a wonderful place to raise a family. Whether it be walking through one of our nature reservations, grabbing a bite to eat, or watching a beautiful sunset over Lake Erie, there is truly something for everyone.
