Living in this area is a blessing in disguise. Although traffic can be somewhat unbearable during the afternoon, the experience is completely worth while. The scenery and architecture is very pleasant! And there's something for everyone! Whether you're a coffee in the morning kind of gal! A movie person! A mall person! Even a park, or extreme sport person! Aventura has it! There's always something to do! Even during this Covid-19 time, with all our measures, there's still day to day activities one can engage in with minimum risk. As long as you have your mask and some hand-sanitizer you're good to go!
As college student however, I do wish Aventura had more libraries and book stores. But honestly, other than that I doubt you won't find what you need!

Clean, modern, diverse and safe. Great weather and great location too! If you live close to towne center it’s the best. You have publix and the aventura mall within walking distance as well as several nice restaurants. Would recommend living here for young professionals who are focused on their careers (not a lot of crazy nightlife distractions) and young families looking to raise their kids in a diverse safe neighborhood. Majority of real-estate is condos. Some condos are newer than others. Rent is cheaper than brickell and Miami Beach but you get many of the same benefits. Also you are close to Ft. Lauderdale so going there a dinner or date with your significant other is a real possibility.
I enjoy living in Aventura with all of your needs being very close, from hospitals to shopping. I do believe it is a safe place to live but traffic is probably the worst around here starting from Broward-Dade area.
