I live in Austell and I do enjoy it. It's the city that people have heard of but many people are not overly familiar with it. I tell them "I live close to Six Flags" then they understand. Going to bed with the faint engines of the trains puts me to sleep. I wish our buildings were less vacant on Veterans Memorial and there have been a few times when I have gone into a convince store and experenced some dramatic loitering. Louise Scruggs Park is a hidden gem that I frequent and really love, and Austell in itself might not have a TON of stuff to do BUT it's close to EVERYWHERE it does (10 miles from downtown Atlanta). I love my Austell home and hope one day I can give it a grand FIVE star review if some of the kinks get worked out.

The roads are in need of work. All suburban neighborhoods should include sidewalks. Overall, Austell is a great city for a family. I have lived in Austell for 18 years now and I love the area. It is not to far from Atlanta and there is always a highway near so the commute is good. The city is quiet and very safe. Great for raising children. There are so many schools, hospitals and, a lot of places to eat on Austell road alone, malls not too far away, and several shopping plazas that also fulfill most needs if you prefer something just a few minutes from your house. I love Austell and I will consider living there once I graduate high school.
While this suburb is small, it contains everything you could ever need or want around you. There are so many schools, hospitals, a million eateries on Austell road alone, malls not too far away, and several shopping plazas that also fulfill most needs if you prefer something just a few minutes from your house. The city of Atlanta is also fairly close which offers a city environment and a whole new selection of activities not too far from home. You simply can't beat the placement of Austell in the state of Georgia. It's a bridge to practically anything you're looking for.
