Most the business in the area are great when it comes to personal and friendly service, however, being a small town surrounded by equally small towns, the selections are limited. Everyone I know keeps a list of things needed to be purchased in the bigger towns such as Green Bay or Marquette. In addition to not having everything available, prices are also more expensive. But overall its alright because you can always rely on good service and never have to worry about someone taking advantage of you.
Review Aurora
A lot of drugs come here form Chicago, so there is a big problem with that. There are definitely parts of town where no one walks alone unless they absolutely have to, and even being in a car is not entirely safe. The police are there, but often don't do everything they could and sometimes don't believe a story depending on who is telling it. I used to feel safe, but in the past 10 years it's unsettling how much drugs, violence, and vandalism goes on. I am always on edge in town and never let my guard down.
In northern Wisconsin no one bats an eye at a foot of snow at a time, so although it causes some work interference some days and bad road conditions I think everyone is used to it. As far a the drought, our summers are short anyways and no one cares if someone's grass is brown by the first of July, however, living on the family farm I see the stress and worry it brings on by anyone who is reliant on precipitation for their means of living.
