I live and work in this town and the one thing I can say about is it's definitely peculiar. And over priced. It's right on the lake, so it's hard to find a place to rent that usnt ridiculously expensive, although there are some hidden gems like the place we live. Our landlord is a sweet older lady who let us stay with our two dogs, required no security deposit and no lease! It's definitely an interesting town if you take the time to find all of its hidden quirks, but the people can be pretentious and overbearing. I wouldn't say it's a place people aspire to live, more like a place people get sucked into!
Aurora is small, there isn't much to it. The college and the Aurora Inns are all they have. But its insanely gorgeous!
Very nice rural setting, with above average income line. Would like to see the town have a more synergistic relationship with Wells College.
