Auburn is a great place to live and go to school. We have the best high school football team and a lot of school pride. People are friendly and most people know each other. We don't have a lot of job opportunities. Most people drive to Springfield, Illinois to work. We don't have a lot of restaurants either, so that is something that we could improve on. We do have a Dairy Queen, Subway and a good Mexican restaurant though. People take pride in our school and attend most of the sporting events. I love my hometown!

Auburn is a very good small town. Located about 30 minutes south of Springfield. Pretty good high school academically and athletically. While other schools are better academically, Auburn is still a good place to get your high school education. The people of Auburn are good people, most very passionate about the sports here and show up to represent in the sporting events.
I feel that my hometown is a great community to grow up in. I would like to see a hotel or some more commercial growth to the east, near the I-55 exit. There is room for this community to grow. It is 20 minutes south of downtown and there is a golf coarse. Our school has great teachers, students who love challenge, and an awesome wrestling team-the football and basketball teams aren't too shabby either.
