Beautiful small college town with mostly kind people. The town is easy to navigate and pet friendly. There’s a very walkable downtown, which is great, and food choices are abundant, although expensive. Prices on everything have skyrocketed so it is stressful to be on school full time with a learning disability, so I really can use any kind of scholarships! It would be great to see more student discounts, and even freebies for students in general, and based on GPA.
I moved to Auburn in August 2019 to attend Auburn University. I am currently going into my 5th year double majoring in Marketing and Finance, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment in Auburn. There are so many things to do and explore. You can visit Chewacla Park, eat lunch in Downtown Auburn, or walk around the University campus. Over the past 5 years Auburn has grown so much but still has a small home town feeling that you just cannot get enough of. Safety was also a big priority with moving for me and I have never felt unsafe living here.
I lived in Auburn for 2 years. It was one of the worst places Ive had to live. The day I moved was the best day. Crime is bad, nothing to do, people are not friendly. There are 2 reasons to live in Auburn. 1. You were born there and still there or 2. Your there to go college and leave! Its a depressing town. No jobs there, most commute to Atlanta. Its not clean and dont go Opelika its worse. Cant sit outside in evening wout seeing police in cars or on foot chasing someone. I dont recommend living here, there are so many nice places to live, dont go here! Iam living in a happy place now, not Auburn Ala or even Ala. ugh! Think twice on this place matter fact dont even think of this place look eles where. Dont live or go to Auburn! :-0
